The aim of the project is to empower Black women and men (African, Caribbean and Dual Heritage) by providing a safe space for them to address and improve their physical, mental and emotional well-being and health.

The project offers a series of workshops, support groups and health promotion activities tailored to the unique experiences of Black women and men. The focus is on reducing health disparities and promoting overall wellbeing; and improve physical activity levels.

Black Health & Wellbeing Project

The Black Brain Health Across Generations Project used art, storytelling, and music to explore memory, culture and well-being within the African and African-Caribbean communities. Bringing together older and younger generations, it raised awareness of dementia, promoted healthy lifestyle choices, and encouraged open conversations about brain health. The creative workshops built stronger community connections, challenged stigma and left a legacy through artwork celebrating identity, resilience, and shared experiences. An exhibition of the artwork carried out by the participants will be showcased at a Bradford museum.
